Conservation of manuscripts of Meherjirana Library, Navsari, Gujarat: The project again continued in 2016-2017 and a team of Conservators successfully completed the conservation work on manuscripts and rare printed books in various phases.

Conservation of rare printed books of His Excellency Library, Muscat: The Institute has the honor to receive rare printed books from the Library of His Excellency Dr.Omar Zawawi, Muscat. All the rare printed books are quite antique and each one has its own importance.

Conservation of 235 printed books of Maharani Lal Kunwari Post Graduate Library, Balrampur, U.P.: As per the approval of competent authority on the basis of detailed project report, the team of INTACH Conservation Institute, Lucknow started the second phase on conservation of rare printed books in the premises of Central Library Maharani Lal Kunwari P.G. College, Balrampur from 30.3.2016 to 22.2.2017. The project was carried for one year in which 235 rare printed books were conserved. Central Library was established in 1955 along with Maharani Lal Kunwari P.G. College by Honorable Maharaja Pateswari Prashad Singh in the memory of his mother Maharani Lal Kunwari. The Founder President of College, Maharaja Sir Pateshwari Prasad Singh Saheb Bahadur, donated books of his library to the college Central Library.

Conservation of excavated idols at Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: Four idols of Navgrah, Agni, Kartikeya and Brahma were found in Chhau village at Kushinagar while excavation during World Heritage Day . The idols were full of dust and dirt deposition, stains, highly porous, full of algal growth. The villagers of the area were very keen to preserve these idols for worship in the temple. On the request of the Convenor INTACH Gorakhpur Chapter, a conservation proposal, methodology of the conservation work, suitable chemicals, materials were planned. A team of Conservators from ICI, Lucknow was deputed to conserve the idols at site.

Conservation of archival records of Sabarmati Ashram Preservation and Memorial Trust, Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad: The project relates to the conservation of archival records relating to Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi. Sabarmati Ashram at Ahmedabad, Gujarat has great significance in India’s struggle for freedom. The Ashram was founded on 17th June on the western bank of the river Sabarmati. Upon his return from South Africa in 1915, Gandhiji choose to live in and work from the Ashram. The Ashram has a large collection of oil paintings based on the life and work of Gandhiji, Vestments and other textile possessions of Gandhiji and Kasturbaji, Letters written to and by Gandhiji, Manpatras or scroll of honour presented to Gandhiji by various Institutions and Account files.

Conservation of 1140 damaged artifacts of Uttar Pradesh Institute of Design and Handicrafts Museum, Lucknow: The collection of Uttar Pradesh Institute of Design And Handicrafts Museum, Lucknow is very rich, antique and has artistic craft value which presents the work of eminent artist. The museum has a large collection of artefacts including metal, terracotta, soft stone, ceramic, ivory, bone/horn, carved wood, bead work, decorative purse with zari, textile, carpet with zari work, painting, clay, moonj/bamboo, paper machie and paper print. The project relates to the conservation of 1140 damaged artefacts.

Conservation of craft documents and diplomas of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad: The Library has large collection of old records on different subjects. Rare books and some beautiful plates are related to the Archaeology, History, Graphic, Design, Printing, Manuscripts, Indian Jewellery, Religion script books, various language books etc. It has all the treasured wealth of knowledge showcasing the best collection of books, periodicals and other non book resources from all corners of the world. The Library has also a large collection of craft documents and diplomas which are being conserved by INTACH Conservation Institute, Lucknow.

Conservation of textile artifacts of District Museum, Sultanpur: Conservation of textile artifacts belonging to Shri Rafi Ahmad Kidwai from District Museum, Sultanpur.

Conservation of printed books of Shri Radha Krishna Mandir Pustakalaya, Kanpur: The Library named as Shri Radha Krishna Mandir Pustakalaya is situated in J.K. Temple at Pandu Nagar, Kanpur. The Library has a large collection of books relating to Religions, Hindi Sahitya, Meditation and Jyotish. The collection is approximately 8000 in number. The project relates to conservation of 115 printed books and conservation work is being done in phases.
