Workshop & Training Programs
INTACH Conservation Institute, Lucknow time to time organizes workshops, training and capacity building programs, awareness campaigns. These programs are aimed for material housed in libraries, archives, historical societies and private collections. The programs are intended to provide fundamental knowledge on various aspects of preventive conservation such as care, proper display, storage of library/archival collection to preserve material heritage for future generations. These programs therefore not only aim for the staff of museums and libraries where archives are housed and cared for but for the first time target the staff and personnel belonging to the very places that contribute towards the building of archival collection such as government offices, judiciaries, jails, police departments, revenue departments, district administrative units, religious organizations, etc. Training and educating these primary stakeholders on proper care and preservation of artifacts to ensure that our archival collection remains preserved for future generations. The Institute has organized several national as well as international workshops and training programs.
