Conservation of 3-D Objects
Sculpture department at INTACH ICI, Delhi handles conservation of many art objects made of different materials like metals, ceramics, wood, stone, lacquer, ivory, etc.
Some of the major problems encountered in these objects are surface accumulation, cracks, discoloration, losses, powdering and flaking, dismembering and breaking into pieces, dents and bulges, abrasions and scratches, efflorescence, detachment, deformation etc.
