Disaster Management: Flood – hit Srinagar city (J&K)

ICI Delhi team visited Srinagar city in 2014 to provide response and assess the condition of artifacts after the city was hit by floods. The collections at various institutions including S.P. S Museum; Dept. of archives Archaeology & Museums; J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages; High Court, J&K; Town Planning Office, Srinagar Development Authority; Amar Singh College; Srinagar Municipal Corporation; and Directorate of Information. The objects included paper records having problems of bio-deterioration, waviness, brittleness, waviness, partial and complete losses of paper.
