The Wall Painting Sites in Delhi is the first comprehensive publication on wall paintings existing across the city of Delhi. It was the first book that was published from the self-initiated INTACH-WPD project.

The publication not only includes the inventory of wall painting sites in Delhi but also provides sections on the history and description of the city of Delhi. The survey and documentation process were carried out meticulously in both rural and urban areas. The inventory provides detailed descriptions of structures and paintings, their history, architectural features, and present condition with relevant text and images. The book concludes with best practices of preventive conservation, maintenance and site management.

5. Directory of Museums in India – Fifth Revised Edition (2023)

The fifth revised edition of the Museum Directory provides an all-inclusive
information related to 1186 museums existing across 28 states and 8 union territories including both the government and private museums. The data includes contact details, schedules, various services, types of collections and galleries, social media links, entry fees, names of curators, dignitaries in charge and so on. It also shares information on the availability of library and museum publications.

In addition, the book identifies the type of museums based on its collection, i.e., archaeological, multi-purpose, history, personalia, science, etc. In recent years, several museums that were established on unconventional ideas such as the illusion museum, court museum, and food storage also find a place in this directory. Additionally, the two appendices in the concluding sections share statistics on the number of museums in each state as well as the type of museums across the country. Furthermore, the book also consists of some pictures of museums.

Conservation Insights 2020 Lectures

INTACH Conservation Institutes organised the online ‘Conservation Insights 2020’ lecture series from June to December 2020.
