Conservation Work

The centre has grown since its birth and has a dedicated group of trained conservators working on various art objects viz. miniature paintings, B/W photographs , canvas paintings, manuscripts, thankas, wooden objects,metal etc including wall paintings.

We lay special emphasis on paper paintings conservation and murals paintings conservation. A rapid action plan has been worked out for these objects. To obtain these goals, a survey programme has been conducted  by the centre. Our team reaches in short time to the place whenever we receive a request for conservation help.

We have all facilities of analysis and examination of various types of art objects. All the objects here are properly examined before being treated & history sheet is prepared for each of these objects. a complete  photographic documentation is done for the objects that are received at the centre along with a complete treatment record.
