One of the most satisfying and educative experiences for our restorers was the collaboration with the Goethe Institute (Max Mueller Bhavan) who arranged for a German restorer with expertise in tropical conditions to come and train our team “on the job” for the restoration of the 220-year old Zoffany painting in St John’s Church in Calcutta entitled ‘The Last Supper” .The 10 ft x 12 ft painting was a major challenge which was handled successfully.

On training/workshop we delivered talks and organized practical hands on sessions for understanding preventive and curative conservation of art objects. Like deteriorating agents and factor deterioration of objects, documentation, scientific examination, making of adhesives and minor repairing of objects, proper display and storage, hinging and mounting and encapsulation, etc.
