About ICI Lucknow

INTACH Conservation Institute established at Lucknow in 1985 aims to restore and conserve the vast repository of art objects such as paintings, fragile fabrics, ancient manuscripts, wall paintings and countless memorabilia of a past era. The major objective of INTACH Conservation Institute at Lucknow is to preserve heritage for future generations, to undertake continuous study and research to develop the best methodologies for path breaking contributions in the field of conservation science, to provide unmatched services in conservation for art collectors and to spread concern for heritage conservation and preservation.

The Centre is undertaking advanced level of scientific analysis on lime and lime mortar, I.R.& U.V. Examination.

Special service for preventive conservation of the collection is provided as per the requirement by the collectors, individuals, libraries and Government organizations. A special design of archival box is prepared by a Conservator at ICI laboratory for keeping rare books, manuscripts and paintings after conservation.
